Tour of Abbadia
Duration : 50 minutes.
Join our guides on a tour about Antoine d'Abbadie, a 19th-century scientific explorer, and his home designed by the famous architect Eugène Viollet-Le-Duc.
The discovery begins in the astronomy observatory, equipped with period materials. Souvenirs and inspirations from his travels adorn the walls: scenes of Ethiopian life, a room called Jerusalem or an Arab salon.... The house is furnished, decorated and restored just as it was when it was built.

"Les Abords d’Abbadia" guided tour

There are two parts to this tour.
In addition to the guided tour inside the château, enjoy an introductory 30-minute outdoor visit.
Discover the building in its original geographical, historical and artistic context. The neo-Gothic architecture will be revealed to you through the sculptures on the façade and the recounting of the creation of the park
This tour is available on Wednesday mornings (also on Friday mornings in July and August).

"Prestige" guided tour

Once a month (except July and August), this is a patient way of discovering Abbadia and the history of its owners.
This is the VIP tour, which includes a recently restored extra living room: the kitchen!
An extra 30 minutes is added to the ‘Les Abords d'Abbadia’ guided tour.
Your guide focuses on the Bülher park, the neo-Gothic architecture and the historical and artistic context of the 19th century. The tour ends in the kitchen with a presentation of some of the archives...
